Nothing get you into the Christmas Spirit more than a trip to the E.R.!

Yep, that's right folks. Ava and Mimi were putting pillows on top of the couch and sitting on them. Ava slipped right off and broke her right arm. Josh had JUST said "hey, girls lets not do that because I don't want to head back to the ER on my day off." (he is working in the ER this month and had only been home maybe 8 hours when this happened) It honestly wasn't more than 3 minutes later when Ava fell. I guess I could look at it as she was obeying her father and getting off of the couch like he had asked! I feel horrible for the poor girl. And it isn't all about me, but I can not get that image out of my head. The one where she is just laying on the floor crying. She is a super-trooper though. Once we picked her up she stopped crying... until we told her we had to go to the doctor. She didn't so much love that, but did awesome there. I called a great friend and asked if we could drop Emery off so she didn't have to hang out at the hospital. Thanks Abs! Ava loved her duck pez and did not put it down until we got home! Right before we pulled up to the hospital Ava asked if her dad was going to work on her. I told her no that other doctors would be there. She answered "Yeah, today he isn't a doctor, he is just my dad."Ava was picking up her arm and lifting it for the doctors. All of the nurses kept saying how they wished all of their patients where like our sweet Ava. She got stickers and a Dora toy from the nurses and told them she was going to give them to her sister Mimi. Once we got home we all took naps. Ava slept from 3:30pm until 9:30pm when I woke her up to eat. Like I said though, she is a trooper. She is learning how to eat with her left hand, how she needs help again in the bathroom, and how to get into chairs with only one hand. She has yet to complain that it hurts. She must have some serious high pain management!!! We will go on Wednesday to get the real cast on. Here is hoping they have orange!!! Way to be so brave, Ava! Mom and Dad love you so much!!!!

The Nutcracker

We took the girls to see the Nutcracker. THEY LOVED IT!!! It was so fun to get dressed up and take the girls to the ballet.

Halloween

Mimi was a pink piggy and Ava was a Pumpkin. Josh dressed up for work as antibacterial hand sanitizer. We went to the trunk or treat at the church on October 30th and then went Trick or Treating with a group of our friends on Halloween night. The girls had a blast and LOVED getting all of the candy. But when they were done, THEY WERE DONE.... and ready to go home. It was a fantastic night.... minus the rain and humidity!        

Washington D.C. Baby

My mom drove back with me from Texas and then the next day Josh and I left for Chicago. It was a super quick trip-only from Friday-Sunday but still lovely to get away just the two of us. It was kind of a crazy because we missed a few flights, lost our luggage and had to spend LOTS of money on parking. BUT... like I said, it was quite nice to get away. While we were there we were able to go to the Smithsonian and see Julia Childs kitchen. We were also able to see the Washington D.C. Temple.

Thanks mom for watching the girls so we could have a little get away!

More Texas Trip

When we are at Mom and Pop's, we spend a LOT of time outside. Here are just a few pictures. **PS Since they live WAAAAY out in the boonies, there is no need to get dressed for the day or fix our hair. The girls stay in their jammies all day long. It is fantastic! Smudge kitty is the craziest cat I have ever known. He loves to get on the trampoline and jump with the kids. He was having a ball with the girls and their balloons She was so mad at me here because I wanted to take her picture. Guess who won!?? She did... look at that face!

Emery's 3rd Birthday

The girls and I were in Texas for Mimi's birthday. We also celebrated my Pop's birthday. We had a pink birthday party for them at my mom and pop's house. Lucky for Pop he is okay with pink!! All of the cousins (on my side) were there so its pure craziness. She loved it though. We had pink balloons, pink streamers, pink plates, pink cups, pink lemonade, a pink table cloth and chocolate cupcakes with Pink icing! That girl was in PINK HEAVEN! It was great being in Texas, but we really missed Josh. Mimi LOVES pink piggies. This is a doll that my sister and kiddos got for her that is dressed up like a pink piggy. The girl loves her some chocolate! And loves her some pop!!! WOW! I know, I am sooo far behind. Emery's birthday is October 5th and I am just now getting around to posting things. OH well, better late than never, right. Right. Right?!

Emery, You are such a joy in our lives. Your laugh is contagious! You are the best to tickle and wrestle with! You are such a happy happy girl! We love you so much and feel very blessed to have you in our family!!! Mom and Dad love you Mimigins!!!!

Right now....

Right now Josh and I are sitting right next to each other, in our chairs, with our separate lap tops typing away.... and it feels great! It sure feels fantastic to be home and near my wonderful husband!

WE ARE HOME!

Back to life--Back to reality! It is great to be back in Georgia. We missed our own home/space, our friends, the kitties Bubblegum and Bandaide but mostly Josh! I think he missed us too!

Texas Times!

We are in Texas right now enjoying some much needed family time. I don't have any pictures to post but things have just been a bit crazy. Josh lost his drivers licence. Ava fell and busted her chin open needing 5 stitches. Emery is potty training. And I am just along for the ride..... a crazy and bumpy ride!

The Beach
