Kinlee the banshee Smith

She screams. A LOT. And it is about to push us ALL over the edge. I sure hope that it stops before our 16 hour drive to Texas.

Update on the boards

Thank you so much for all of the prayers for Josh on Monday for taking his boards. Unfortunately, we will not find out his score until January. Yes, you did read that correctly. JANUARY. Pretty annoying if you ask me. But at least it is in the past now!

I know it is boring

For the love.... I had this really cute background from Shabby blogs. Then I went and messed around with it by changing my fonts and stuff. The background is gone, however the shabbyblog thing is still at the top. How in the WORLD do I get that off. Ugh.... its 1230 and I want it to look cute before I go to bed... But I can not for the life of me get that thing off. Someone help!!!!!
And please say a little something tomorrow for Josh while he takes his boards. Much thanks!

Doctor Check ups

The girls went to the dentist for the first time today. AND they did awesome!!! Also, Mimi had her 4 year check ups and Kinlee had her 4 month check ups today.Mimi is right at 50% for her weight and height. She weighs 32 pounds and is 3ft 4 inches. Kinlee is also 50% for her age too; weighing in at 13.9 pounds and 24 inches. With the 4 year check up you have to get shots. And lots of them. Ava got 1 shot (flu), Emery got 4 shots and Kinlee got 3. This afternoon was full of tears. Until we went to Coldstone!

I'm going bald

Because I had a baby. And I don't like it.
The end.

Sick Sick Sick

Josh has been sick. Ava has been sick. Mimi has been sick. And guess what... I got sick too. Josh is in San Fransisco for a couple of days at an AAP Meeting so the girls have just been hanging out. Thank goodness for this beautiful weather! Today we all felt good enough to go outside to the park. It was absolutely FABULOUS!!! The windows are open and spirits are being lifted... and the germs are well on their way out!!!!
PS.... Josh rocks! For the past year, Josh has been the President of the Resident section in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). He is in San Fran for this big meeting that he is in charge of. Way to go Josh! We are all so proud of you! Love you tons!

Watch out folks... we've got an expert on our hands!

About a week ago, a friend of mine was taking Mimi to gymnastics for me because I had a dental appointment. As they were driving, Amy asks
"Can anyone see the letters C.V.S?" (Amy has 2 little girls as well)
Mimi pipes up "Oh you mean CVS Pharmacy? That is where we get our rescriptions."
Amy totally taken aback says "Mimi, how did you know that?" in which she reply's
"Mrs Amy... I know everything there is to know about CVS Pharmacy. IT is where we get OUR rescriptions at the pull-through!!!!"

Dadgum....

Pretty sure I went to Target and to 2 houses today.... with my zipper down. At what point did it go down? I try to make a habit of zipping up my paints BEFORE I leave the house but perhaps that didn't get accomplished this morning. Oh well. At least I didn't forget one of my kids somewhere.

This week...

This week has been a big week for Kinlee. She has rolled over from front to back, from back to front (on a different day) and I just noticed that she is teething. I am not happy about this. I mean, I know it isn't her fault, but COME ON! You aren't even 4 months old yet. AHHH. Whatever.
I am also realizing that 3 kids is a big deal. At first, it really wasn't hard. HONESTLY. But as of this week, I am really struggling. There have been lots of changes going on. I haven't had to be on a schedule really since Ava was born and that was over 5 years ago. And that, I guess, is hard for me. Ava is now in school. Preschool. And it is only 4 days a week, but I am obviously having a hard time with that one. Mimi started gymnastics. And loves it. However, she is so sad during the day. She has never known life without Ava so she just pouts all day. I have tried so dadgum hard to involve her in stuff but she usually tells me that I am a big girl and that I can do it by myself. Thanks for the reassurance Mimi. Also Kinlee is about to drive me batty. She cries. She cries A L O T. And that really isn't like her. But I honestly can't help but think about how Ava was so hard. And pray she isn't turning into 'that' kind of baby. Please just let it be her teeth! Also, Josh has his boards on October 18th. THIS is a BIG deal. He is pretty darn stressed out about it, as he should be. I am stressed out for him. And I can not keep up with the laundry. OH MY WORD. Who knew that 1 more little person could add so much to the laundry. Basically, I kind of feel like I am drowning. That I can barely keep my head above water. And I really dont like that feeling. I dont feel like I can control a lot right now and for someone who is a control freak, its a difficult pill to swallow. I mean, honestly? Am I really crying because I can't keep up with the laundry? Whatever, right?
This is in no way a pitty party. I am not writing this down for people to feel sorry for me. I am only writing this because ONE day I will be able to look back at this and laugh. Laugh at myself for being so uptight about such little things. Because this too shall pass.

Totally out of order....

More California

While we were there, we hit Disney! The girls were thrilled... until they didn't get to see the princesses. LAME. I had to tell them they were too tired and had to go to sleep. What kind of stupid place doesn't have the princesses in the parade? Happiest place on earth... I beg to differ!

Way back when....

I was still pregnant with Kinlee, Josh had a conference in California. So the family packed up for the week and met Josh's parents and sister there. We got to play all day while Josh worked all day. I really wish Josh could have played with us. Perhaps next time!

A little water action

The day after my mom left to go home, we went to the park to get the girls out of the house. Kinlee slept the whole time and the girls had a blast!

Ava's 5th birthday

Poor Ava kind of got the shaft this year for her birthday. With Kinlee just being born, it was still crazy when June hit! My mom was in town for about 2 weeks when I had Kinleeso we had cake and such with her, and a couple of our friends. We called that her 'party' by putting up an orange table cloth and Josh doing balloon animals. She was pretty excited! Good thing she wasn't turning 15, she would have wanted a bit more!!Posted by Picasa

Chief Dad

July 1, 2010 Josh started his year of chief-hood! While he was at work, the girls, Tapa and Yaya, and myself made chief hats. Josh had the most feathers-because he is cheif-rolling in at 16. I had something like 8. And the girls had how old they are; 5, 4, and 1 month. As soon as Josh drove up, the girls ran outside doing an indian chant! Good times! We are so proud of Josh and all that he does for our family! Way to go, dear!

Forth of July

Mike and Marica were here visiting/meeting Kinlee over the 4th. We went to Ft. Gordon to watch the fireworks. It was, as always, a fabulous show! Thanks Tapa and Yaya for being here! We really wish you lived closer... and so do the girls!

Family pictures

Since my whole family was here for Kinlee's blessing, my sisters and I surprised my mom with family pictures for her 60th birthday. When you have 7 adults and 10 children, well lets just say that things get a little crazy! We haven't received the professional ones back yet, these are the ones that my father-in-law took.

Kinlee was blessed

On August 1, 2010 Kinlee was blessed at church by Josh. It was a beautiful blessing and am so grateful that Josh is willing and worthy to hold the Priesthood of God. We had Josh's parents, my parents and both of my sisters with their kiddos here. It was a crazy and fabulous time! Thanks to everyone that came! Ps....our families really were here but we are big dorks and didn't get a picture with everyone. Whoops!

Ava's first day of school

Josh stayed home to have breakfast with Ava before school. She is in a 4 day a week pre-k. Saying she loves it would be an understatement! I love it too! Mimi and I have some great quality time with each other and Kinlee.
