Ya-hooo Pop!

While in Texas we had quite the 'rodeo'! My parents and I were trying to get a bull out of one pasture and into the trailer so we could move it to another pasture. Mom and I tried to corner him with the 4-wheelers but that was a no go. Pop saddled up Dan and the 3 of us got the bull in the corral. My parents have always had horses so it wasn't something new for the girls to see Pop ride, but for some reason this time once Pop got on Dan they both said "Ya-hoo Pop! Ya-hooooo"!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not yee-haa or Wahoo but Ya-Hoo!!! I guess that is the combo! Once the bull was taken care of, Ava and I went for a little ride. She seemed to have really liked it... until my mom drove by on the 4-wheeler. Both of the girls looooovvvveeee ridin' the 4-wheelers. Thanks for all of the help Mom, Pop and Erricka! I could have never finished the house without all you did for me. I really owe you! Love you all! ps... the computer has been down and out for a bit so i can't get to the pictures.

Trunk or Treat Princess Style

This year we just went to the Trunk or Treat party at church. The girls dressed up as princesses and I was the Fairly Odd Mother. The girls had a really great time and got WAAAAYYY too much candy. They both loved having make up on and 'farklies' (sparkles) in their hair.
The only picture I got of them together with their dresses on. They walked around the whole night holding hands.
Mimi getting ready.
They both had spiders painted on to their faces.
Princess putting on her "clank-clank" shoes.
Ava right after I put on her make-up.

Pure Joy

Today was the primary program at church. It always brings tears to my eyes. The spirit that is felt when innocent children sing is indescribable. Josh got to go to church with us today and that was a real treat. We came home from church, ate lunch and all took naps. I don't know how much of a nap Josh got in those 15 minutes but maybe it was enough for a power boost. The girls and I played this afternoon and read books. We called family and laughed about silly things. I put make-up on the girls as a "practice run" for Halloween. After dinner and baths I dried the girls hair and put them in bed. Then I went and got Ava out of bed. She took a really great nap and wasn't quite ready for bed so we came down stairs. She asked me if I could play with her hair. So I did. She just talked to me and we laughed more. Once I had fixed her hair into something "sleep-able" I carried her up the stairs for bed. When I laid her down she said "Mom, I just love it. I love you". So pure and innocent. What a sweet ending to a wonderful day. I hope I never forget these moments, but mostly I hope she remembers them too. I love you Ava!

Prophets?

This morning I was "trying" to watch the news/weather. I was just going to watch the weather and then put something on for them to watch while I fixed their hair. Ava sees the weatherman (in a dark suit) and asks "Mom, whats that prophets name?" I start laughing out loud and she kind of giggles. The she says "OH, I guess he kinda looks like my dad." I love the fact that she thinks that men in suits are prophets! Along those same lines, both of the girls think that the castle on any Disney movie is a Temple!!!! Yeah.. see ALL princesses get sealed for time and eternity at the end!!! disclaimer***I don't remember what news channel it was but it did NOT look anything like Josh!

Ahhh, the cruise!!!!

For my dad's 60th birthday my family went on a cruise to Cozumel Mexico. It was a FABULOUS time! We all laughed so hard our stomachs hurt.... oh wait that was because of the amount of food we consumed!!! Thanks pop for the great vacation for us all!!!
Pop, you should always wear your hat that low! And make sure the lining is down too!!
Mom and Pop at the formal dinner.
Erricka and Chris Walton
Josh and I
Ingrid and Jason
Bill and Becky Dunn (my parents best traveling buddies!) We are so glad they came with us! It wouldn't have been near as much fun without them!!!
Look at that water!!!
One of the days off of the boat we went on a tour of the city, had some GREAT authentic Mexican food, watched dancers and cowboys do rope tricks.
This was Josh and I's first time away from the girls and I was worried about how I would be. As much as I love my girls, I didn't miss them. The cruise would not have been fun for them and it really wouldn't have been fun for me or Josh. We were just Josh and Aleasha not mom and dad. It was so nice! All of the things that I thought was so great about the cruise, they wouldn't have been able to appreciate, such as the bed being made every time I left the room. Those people are crazy on top of things!!! Or the food that was always there. IT IS ALWAYS THERE! And then there is the Midnight Mexican Buffet. And then there is 24 hour room service. The girls pretty much already have all of this, except for the Mexican buffet... and me really being on top of things, but that is besides the point. It was such a great time and I can't WAIT for my mom to turn 60 so we can go on another trip!!!! Thanks again POP for the great birthday gift! That couldn't have been a better birthday present! HOPE you had as much fun as we did!!! Love you so much!
A special thanks to Josh's parents for watching our snotty girls.(literally) They are still talking about how much fun they had with you guys. Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to watch the girls so Josh and I could enjoy some time with out them!!! :) We love you!

Happy Birthday Emery!

This is the very first picture of Emery Kate. 6lbs 10 oz. 21 inches long.
This is one of my very favorite pictures. I had gone into the hospital to have Mimi around 8:00am. About 9:30 -10:00 is when I was hooked up to the goods.. you know, the epidural! Emery was born around 11:30 am. My parents said they would drop Ava off at my sisters house and then come to the hospital. When they walked into our room, we had already had the baby. My mom and pop are truly shocked. This is a GREAT first picture of Noni and Mimi!!! My mom just kept saying "I can't believe she is already here!!!"
Ava came to the hospital to meet Emery for the first time. She was so excited to see her and to have her little sister here on the Earth with her. (they must have been in ka-hoots in heaven before they came!) They really are best friends!
The first of many kisses!
Mimi's 1st birthday. Now this girl LOVES her some chocolate!!!!!
She was pretty serious about getting it all in her mouth... with both hands!
Josh and I were gone on Emery's actual birthday so we threw her a little party right before we left. Pictures of her birthday I am sure will come (Ta-pa and Ya-ya, we are going to need some pictures!!!) These are some books from Noni and Pop.
The ultimate princess dress-up shoe collection from Mom and Dad.
Mimi's friends Ensley and baby Bergen came over. They made Gack. Mimi loves it!

Happy Birthday to MEEEE!

The good ol' Dora cake. Mimi was totally thrilled!

Make a wish!

Dig in!

It wasn't all that messy this year. She WANTED a fork.

Emery, you are such a sweet little girl and so much fun. You crack us up all of the time. I feel so honored to be your mom! You are such a happy little girl and you love to laugh. You still love to cuddle and I am pretty sure you give the best hugs I have ever had! The way you love shoes brings a smile to my face! You love to wear them on the wrong feet and when you fall asleep in the car you only want one off! (we have tried to teach you the correct way to wear shoes, but your burning desire for "i'ne do it mine self" pretty much takes over!) Your favorite shoes are the pink and white polka-dot "clank-clank" shoes. You can throw yourself ONE HECK of a 'sit-and-spin', but can jump right back up and say in the saddest voice ever "I'ne happy!" You are talking so much now and I love it. You and Ava have full on conversations now, and it totally cracks your dad and I up! We could sit and listen to you girls for hours! Some of the funny things you have said lately are: Mom, Where's THA dad? Oh I'ne know I'ne know, he's at THA work, cause THA big man said so." "I'nna help." "Oh, I do it mine self." "NOOOOO, mine self!!!" "OH NOOOO! That big bad bears gonna get me!" If I ask you a question about Anything you say "Umm been cause I'd had too!!!" I was cleaning out Ava's little potty and you said "Oh look mom, yellow soup!"

Emery, you are such a joy to be around. You can make anyone laugh, that is, if you want to!!!! I am so excited about the years to come and the happiness you will continue to bring into our home. Dad, mom and Ava love you soo much!!!! Happy Birthday Sweetheart!
