4th of July
Ava's 4th Birthday
It was an ORANGE party. There were orange plates and orange cups and and orange table cloth and LOTS of orange balloons and orange Orange ORANGE everywhere. Ava was in orange heaven! She asked for a strawberry cake with orange icing, so that's what we had.
Noni and Pop got the girls a Trampoline and boy do they love it!!!!! Ta-pa and Ya-ya sent her a scooter and some great orange jewels. They also send this really great play-dough ice cream maker. They ask to play with it on a daily basis. I have to admit, it is pretty cool! Ava is getting pretty good on the scooter. It was a fantastic orange-y party! Thanks so much for everyone that made it that way!!!!
Ava, Mom and Dad love you so much! You are such a sweet little girl that is getting bigger every day. You are so much fun to be around!!! We love you sweetie!

Nighty Night
Every day for naps I sing the same song to the girls. I have sang this song to them since, well as long as they can remember. It is similar to the children's classic Brahms Lullaby, however, my memory on the original lyrics has long left me. The girls have never heard the correct version and I love that they call it the nap time song. Both of the girls are little bit sick right now and so they want me to sing this to them all of the time. It goes like this....
Nighty Night and Goodnight
Go to sleep little girlies
Ava Jayne and Mimi Kate
Go to sleep right now
Go to sleep little girls
And take a gooood long naP
Go to sleep little girls
Cause it makes your mom HAPPY!!!!
It's been a little crazy
Ava has turned 4. My mom AND sisters AND all of their kids just showed up on my front door at 12:30 in the morning to surprise me. Josh has started his 3rd year of residency. We had a mini vacation to Atlanta. My garden overfloweth with tomatoes and I am making salsa ALL the time AND Josh's apple computer that has all of the pictures of such crashed so... dear blog please be patient. I do want to document all of these exciting times but we are having a little bit of a rough time.
